Puzzle #6: Triangle Around the Ring
Easy · Rotation · target time about 17 seconds
Which option completes the pattern?
How to solve it (answer: E)
The rule
In each row, the triangle moves one place counterclockwise around the ring at each step.
Step by step
- Look at the top row and name what changes from panel to panel.
- The middle row follows the same step.
- Apply the same step to the bottom row: next comes a solid triangle at the bottom left.
Tip: Follow one tip of the shape and note how far it turns or moves between panels.
Why the wrong options look right
The wrong options keep most of the pattern and change the position on the ring or the fill, so each one looks finished at a glance. Check both before you choose.
- Option A: It moves the wrong way. Each step moves one place counterclockwise.
- Option B: It repeats the panel next to the gap instead of taking one more step.
- Option C: Every triangle in the grid is solid, but this one is hollow.
- Option D: It moves the wrong way. Each step moves one place counterclockwise. Every triangle in the grid is solid, but this one is hollow.
- Option F: It repeats the panel next to the gap instead of taking one more step. The fill changed too.
